ELT365 · Day 212 — Month 7 review — productive skills

July 3, 2026 · Sourov · 1 min read

Idea — This month covered: accuracy vs fluency · controlled/free practice · drilling · pairwork · role play · information gap · error correction strategies · writing as process · paragraph structure · cohesion · TBL · skills integration. Central principle: learners improve by producing, not by watching.

Example — A learner who writes three drafts improves more than one who reads three model essays. A learner who speaks for 20 minutes improves more than one who listens to perfect examples for 20 minutes.

Try — Choose one technique from this month you have not tried before. Commit to using it in the next two lessons. Note what happened. That is your professional development.
