ELT365 · Day 209 — Staging a writing lesson — the full sequence
Idea — Writing lesson order: lead-in → model text analysis → planning → first draft → peer or teacher feedback → redraft → self-edit. Each stage is teachable. Do not skip to ‘just write.’
Example — Skip planning and learners write themselves into a corner. Skip feedback and they never improve. The cycle is the lesson.
Try — Plan a writing lesson in full sequence. Estimate time per stage. Where does it run over? Cut one stage rather than rushing all of them.
