ELT365 · Day 197 — Monitoring a speaking task

June 22, 2026 · Sourov · 1 min read

Idea — While learners speak, monitor: check they are on task, gather errors and good language for feedback, and offer help discreetly. Hovering silences learners; vanishing loses your feedback material.

Example — Standing back to listen, a teacher notes two recurring errors to feed back on later.

Try — During your next task, carry paper and collect three things learners said — two errors, one good phrase — for delayed feedback.
