Idea — In TBLT, learners complete a real communicative task first — language emerges from the need, not the plan. Language focus comes after.
Example — Plan a class trip without the teacher giving vocabulary beforehand. Learners negotiate, decide, then report. Language focus follows.
Try — Design one task where speaking is the goal, not the exercise. What real-world outcome does the task produce?
