ELT365 · Day 167 — Extensive listening — low-stress input

July 4, 2026 · Sourov · 1 min read

Idea — Extensive listening is high-volume, self-chosen, largely understood content. Comprehensible input applied to listening. Fluency grows from quantity, not from intensive drilling alone.

Example — A learner who watches one subtitled English comedy series per week, without pausing to look words up, builds speed and pattern recognition over time.

Try — Recommend one free listening source at your learners’ level this week. No tasks. Just listen.
