ELT365 · Day 160 — Graded and authentic listening
Idea — Graded audio is scripted for a level; authentic audio is real-world speech. Authentic texts motivate and expose natural features, but you grade the task, not the text, to keep them usable.
Example — A fast radio clip stays usable for low levels if the task is only "how many people speak?"
Try — Take one authentic clip you like. Instead of simplifying it, write an easier task so weaker learners still succeed.
