The idea — A lesson aim is a promise to learners, not a note to the observer. If learners can’t read it and know what they’ll be doing, rewrite it.

In practice — Bad aim: ‘To practise language.’ Better aim: ‘By the end, you will be able to use three phrases for politely refusing invitations.’ The better version is measurable, specific, and learner-facing.
