ELT365 · Day 173 — Listening in Chunks

📚60-Day ELT Masterclass — This post is part of an ongoing series. View full index →

Idea — Breaking a longer recording into sections and pausing to predict what comes next builds active listening — it is not cheating.

Example — After a speaker introduces a problem, pause and ask: ‘What do you think the solution will be?’ Then play on.

Try — Find a 2-minute recording. Pause it at two natural points. Write one prediction question for each pause.
