ELT365 · Day 192 — Writing as process vs product

📚60-Day ELT Masterclass — This post is part of an ongoing series. View full index →

Idea — Product writing aims at a finished text. Process writing stages the journey: brainstorm → draft → peer review → revise → final. Process builds transferable skills; product builds text-type knowledge.

Example — Product task: “Write a formal email.” Process task: plan audience and purpose → draft → swap with a partner → revise → final version.

Try — Take a product writing task and add two stages: peer feedback and a revision pass.
