📖 From My Experience
I managed teams of fifteen people in high-pressure restaurant environments. Disagreement was constant: about rotas, about service standards, about guest complaints. The managers who lost the most staff were those who disagreed loudly and publicly. The ones who retained good people were those who said: I understand what you’re saying, and I see it slightly differently. That sentence takes three seconds to say. It changes the entire temperature of the room.
